Mr. Ahmed brings over 30 years of experience in banking, credit management and in formulating and managing strategic and operational changes in financial institutions. He brings in-depth knowledge of strategy formulation and implementation, performance improvement initiatives and change management programmes. Mr. Ahmed has held various senior management positions in the Middle East and Canada. Mr. Ahmed joined Gulf African Bank from the global financial advisory firm, Alvarez and Marsal Ltd. where he was Managing Director and Head of Middle East. Prior to that, Mr. Ahmed was at National Bank of Fujairah where he last served as General Manager. Mr. Ahmed holds a master's degree in business administration from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from Illinois, USA, and a Certified Credit Professional (CCP) from the Credit Institute of Canada. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB) and has a diploma from the Association of International Bond Dealers. In addition to serving as Executive Director on the Board of Gulf African Bank, he also serves as a Director of Nairobi Hospice, a charity organization and, is a member of the Governing Council of the Kenya Bankers’ Association.

Sheikh Professor Mohammed S. Badamana
Sheikh Professor Mohamed S. Badamana is the Chairman of Department of Animal Production, University of Nairobi. He holds a PHD in Islamic studies from the University of Khartoum. He has lectured and examined MA and PHD students at the University of Nairobi and Kenyatta in the department of Philosophy and Religious studies. He has presented papers at many international forums as well as published in many journals and papers. He is a leading figure in the society's collective attempts towards Islamic welfare in Kenya. Professionally, his interests lie in Veterinarian, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production Systems and Dairy Cattle, in which his contributions have been acknowledged internationally.

Sheikh Essam M. Ishaq
Sheikh Esam M. Ishaq is a renowned Islamic scholar who holds the position of Advisor to Discover Islam, Bahrain. He serves on the Shari'ah Supervisory boards of the first and largest Islamic bank in Pakistan – Meezan Bank, and is also director of a number of business and educational institutions in Bahrain including Al Baraka Islamic Bank, Bahrain Development Bank, Middle East Traders, Zawaya Property Development, Al Imam Islamic School and Muslim Educational Society.

Sheikh Abdalla Mohamed Abubakar 

Sheikh Abdalla Mohamed Abubakar is a renowned scholar with strong academic as well professional background of Islamic sciences. He holds a PHD in Theology and Philosophy from the National University of Malaysia. He has lectured at the International Islamic University of Malaysia in the department of Islamic revealed knowledge and heritage.  He has attended number of conferences, seminars and workshops nationally and internationally. He is interested in lectures on Islamic religion, Islamic history in Africa, economic issues addressed by Islam and harmony between Muslims and Christians in Kenya.

Sheikh Muhdhar Khitamy

Sheikh Muhdhar Khitamy is provincial chairman of SUPKEM (coast). Besides his academic background of Islamic studies, he always remained involved in National as well as Commuinty building initiatives. He has served the Muslim community through establishment of a number of mosques and study centres. He is highly motivated personality for activities related to social welfare, community services, current affairs and cultural awareness.
