Download and complete the following forms:

• Account opening form
• Fax and Email indemnity form
• Signature card
• Introduction form

2. Notarization and/ or certification of identification documents and photographs

Copies of the identification documents and photographs to be certified by any one of the following:

• Any GAB correspondent banks in the prospective customer’s residence country may be used to confirm identity or as an agent to check personal verification and address details.
• A Public Notary or Kenyan consulate.
• A Gulf African Bank staff member.

3. Attach the required documentation.

• Certified / notarized copy of a Kenyan new generation National Identity Card or Kenyan passport (copy of page 1, last page, second last page, third last page if file number not indicated on second last page, and page showing the visa entry stamp).
• Two recent certified / notarized passport sized photographs.
• Physical Address confirmation by either one of;
  • Latest utility bill (NOT over 3months) to be in the prospective customer’s name (i.e. Electricity, Telephone, Water, Satellite TV Bills etc). If the utility bill is in the name of the landlord a tenancy agreement or letter to be provided with a minimum 1 year term.
  • Latest one month bank statement in the prospective customer’s name provided that the address captured on the same is the current address of the prospective customer (from all registered Financial & Micro-Financial Institutions).
  • A work Permit.
  • Driving license (where the address is indicated on the document)
• Introduction by any one of the following:
  • A GAB a/c holder who has maintained an account with the bank and known the customer for not less than 3 months.
  • Current employer
  • GAB staff.
  • A Lawyer, or, an Auditor

4. Send documents to GAB

Send the account opening documentation to GAB via registered or secure mail
